Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Youmacon

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 23, 2012, 3:11 PM

Thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes! Sorry I have not been around that much, except for smaller commissions I have not been too active on here. Been busy with work too and lacking a little inspiration.

That said, my next convention I will be selling at will be youmacon. In the next couple days I will put a poll asking some folks what they think some good fanart would be to make prior to the convention.

I'll be getting a button maker too! So if you are going to youmacon, be ready for me to have a bunch of buttons up for sale!

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to let all of you know that I will be away from this sunday-next at a Dagorhir event in Pennsylvania called Ragnarok! You will not be able to get ahold of me during this period since I am going to limit my use of my cel phone and will have no computer access!

((Away from the internet for a whole week?! Scary D:))

I'll miss you allll~

Colossalcon, Thanks for the awesome time~

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 12, 2012, 8:28 PM

Seriously everyone, I had a wonderful time at Colossalcon this year. I wish I had more hang out time, but everything was seriously great! AUGH. So many wonderful people there, I can hardly take it! Can I just say that the homestucks that I met there were some of the best I have ever encountered. I loved talking with you all about it, and that goes for the TF2 people too! You were all brilliant!

Also sorry I was not there the whole day on Friday, the wavepool and swimup bar had my name on it!

Anyways, for those who are new to my DA. Please also follow me on tumblr. ((Link just above)) I post way more on there including progress pictures and junk. Also the occasional "at-con" commission that I think turned out exceptionally well!

HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU ON TUMBLER TOWN ((or here :3))!

Colossalcon Ahoy! ((Acen commission info too!))

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 6, 2012, 7:10 PM

Tomorrow I will be leaving for Colossalcon. There are a few things I 'd like folks to know who are going to Colossalcon

-For those of you who ordered commissions from ACen. I know I have been slow at getting these out, let me assure you that I am working on them, just a new job and large scale commission has been  absorbing my time away.

If you got a commission from ACen and are going to be at colossal, let me know! I plan on bringing all finished and unfinished commissions with me to work on there and keep incase you are there and can pick it up instead of mailing it out. This includes some of the return to senders I have gotten from conventions past!

-Because of what is mentioned above, I am setting a limit on how many commissions I take each day. ((based on the time each type of commission takes. I'll take more commissions if I get a bunch of pencils, but way less if a lot of color commissions are received. So the earlier you get the commission, the better!))

On friday there may be a good portion of the day I will not be there....water park you know? And saturday I am closing up early. Keep that in mind when getting/picking up a commission

Otherwise, prices are the same and I really look forward to seeing you there!!!

WOOO WATER PARK CON GOOOO

Tumblr

Journal Entry: Wed May 16, 2012, 5:38 AM

Hey everyone! Hope all my followers are doing well right now. Summer is almost here, and I can explain to you how excited I am. Warm weather is always something I look forward to.

Anyways, I know I made a post in the past about tumblr, but I figured I'd make another post since I have a bunch of new watchers to let you guys know that you can keep up with a ton of my recent larger works and many doodles that I don't post here on my tumblr: lildeadlymeesh.tumblr.com

And, why I am not on here every hour of the day, well, Tumblr I am glued to. I do post a bunch of silly things too, besides art..I think that's just the nature of tumblr.

Hope to see you on there :D

Acen was a huge success!

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 30, 2012, 9:44 PM

Thank you everyone who stopped by my table, whether you bought art or not! It was an amazing convention for the artist alley! I may have not been able to do as many things after hours as I would've liked, but it was still a blast.

As for most cons, for those who got commissions, expect them in about a month!

NEXT UP: COLOSSALCON

Some awesome news...((Dragon*con))

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 17, 2012, 4:14 PM

Last month I decided I'd submit my artwork up for Jury at Dragon*con's art show. They don't charge to enter, so why not?! Now, this art show is very competitive to get into. Some of the industries best (such as Todd Lockwood and Michael Whelan) sell in it, along with numerous professional comic artists and illustrators. I get a phone call last night and find out I have been selected to show my artwork/ put it up for auction and also sell in their print shop.

I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and am also excited/nervous all at the same time. It looks like I am going to have a busy summer ahead of me to try and finish, touch up and make some pieces worthy of sale at this convention.

OFF I GOOOOO

Otakon No-Go

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 26, 2012, 4:15 PM

So Otakon is a no go for me. Or at least the way it is looking right now. I did not get selected for the first round of lottery, and of course their wait list is also on a lottery system. If I get selected in two weeks, I will still go to the convention, but at this point the odds are still not in my favor.

All well, there is always 2013 :)

Making a go for Otakon

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 21, 2012, 2:56 PM

I'll see how it goes.

They are running a lotto system again so there is no guarantee I will get a table at all.

I'd just be going to Otakon for the artist alley anyways, so I wouldn't be cosplaying, but part of me still really wants to go. It's been a long time since I have hit up that convention.

Well, wish me luck!

End Transmission-Katsucon

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 20, 2012, 12:39 PM

Back from Katsucon. It felt very weird to me. I got to see very little of the convention as a whole, which did make me a little sad. This was the first time I have ever been to Katsu!

Never the less, the table, despite all the issues before the convention, was a great success! Thank you so much to those who stopped by, talked with me and purchased prints or commissions!

for those who where unable to pick up their commissions, expect them in 3-4 weeks If you do not have them in the mail by them, feel free to drop me a note and I will get back to you asap on it's status!

Katsucon-Table Placement

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 13, 2012, 12:37 PM

So in 4 days  I'll be making the big trip to D.C! ((well the area at least)). I'll be selling in the artist alley right next to :iconlithe-fider:.

I'll be located at T09/T10. Here is a map of the Artist alley : docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B7QYM…

I'll be selling all my artsy wares and taking at con commissions as well. At con commissions are different than my normal commission prices.

I sell them based on either bust or half body and they are per character. Each commission is done on a 4.5x6 sheet of bristol.

Bust -
Pencil- 5
Ink-10
Color-15

Half Body -

Pencil-7
Ink-15
Color 25

Full Body - I do take full body commissions at the con as well, but the prices vary based on complexity. They reflect more closely to my outside of convention prices.

Also my man, :iconswoz: will have some nifty bead sprites for sale for three+ dollars.

So stop by and get yourself a commission, a print, or just to say hi!

I can't wait!

Ohayocon commission:  Almost all the commissions for ohayocon are done. I plan to mail them out wednesday, thursday at the latest. Expect them in the mail in about two weeks.

Thank you everyone who stopped by my table! I appreciate it! Especially considering I was in such an unusual space!

Feel free to stop by my tumblr! lildeadlymeesh.tumblr.com I will often post doodles or at con commissions I think turned out nicely!

My next con will be Katsucon. I will be selling there as well! I hope to see of you there!

Ohayocon!

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 26, 2012, 5:11 PM

Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I'll be at Ohayocon this weekend. I will have an art table but NOT in the Artist Alley. I will be located in or around the comic shop on the lower-level. It's next to the food court.

So be sure to stop by! I'll be taking commissions and selling prints the whole weekend!

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE

Commisssions are open- Help me get a new computer!

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 30, 2011, 4:21 PM

Contact: Michelle Ulmer
Email: ulmerme@mail.uc.edu

So this poor old computer is starting to approach the end of it's days. Because of that I am going to start taking commissions again so I can save up for a new one! Since I have graduated I got lots of time to work on art, which is awesome because it lets me do stuff like this!

So what commissions do I take?
I love to do just about anything in the digital mediums. Digital paintings are a personal favorite though I often make logos and tattoo designs. Working in traditional mediums is not out of my realm. I love markers, traditional inking methods, and painting. So to sum it up, I love to do just about ANYTHING 2-D!.

A couple of examples

Traditional/Marker- The Bird Witch by LittleMeesh

Digital- Harley Quinn Pin-up by LittleMeesh Kanaya - Homestuck by LittleMeesh Eridan Ampora- Homestuck by LittleMeesh

Okay, LET'S SEE THOSE PRICES

Notes: All traditional prices are based on assumed 8x11 format, price adjustments can be made for larger formats
-I work in almost all subject matter. Just message me if you are curious about what subjects I cover.

$10 Sketch- this is done digitally in photoshop, It's sweet, simple, and quick but still holds desirable detail.
$20 Digital Ink- I take your concept and digitally ink it for you
$20 Traditional Ink- It's 18 bucks + two bucks for shipping. I take the concept and use methods with india ink to make a unique piece of artwork for you.
$35 Basic Marker Color - A traditional commission done with copic markers. This is very minimal coloring but gets the job done.
$40 +Single Figure Digital Painting-  No detailed background, just a primary focus on the character

For multiple character commissions, work with detailed backgrounds, or oil/acrylic paintings the price changes with what is desired. I'll ask for inquiries to be sent to me by note, here, or email at ulmerme@mail.uc.edu

Turn Around Time
I am now graduated and with it comes no classes taking up my time. So depending on my work load expect pieces to be finished within two weeks at the latest of receiving the commission.

Payment method

My pereferred form of payment is through paypal. Usually this is what I only accept because it's quick and allows me to get your commission to you quicker. ((vs. waiting through a money order or check through mail)).

So if you are interested in a commission, feel free to send me a note, ask me here, or send me an email at ulmerme@mail.uc.edu . I will get back to you asap.

No longer an Undergrad.

Journal Entry: Sat Dec 17, 2011, 12:02 PM

So one week ago I finally graduated from DAAP, the art and design school at UC. I got all my grades in on wednesday and it's completely done. It's hard to imagine these four years have gone by and I some how managed to get a difficult to receive college education ((despite how much I dislike the way the Fine Arts program at DAAP is run)). Either way it's time to get out into the big scary world for real now and somehow try to make my way in the art world.

It's scary shit.
