Gray Dragon guarding his gold like a BAMF. I did not keep up with how long this took me but I had lots of fun doing it. I had to get this bug out of me after going to Dragoncon.

Great work!

I must ask a question though

. How were you able to make the dragon appear gray? I know it's a silly question, but it's very difficult to color in a white creature, wouldn't you say?

I can tell it's not white and that's GOOD! When I color or shade anything in that's suppose to be white, it always ends up muddy or silverish. How do you do it??

One thing that helps is to take the colors for your creature's environment to create the shadows. Using shades of grey alone will create a grey looking creature. But, if you use splashes of color, such as green tones from light reflecting off grass, and place them with in your shadows, it'll help identify it as a white animal and not grey or silver.
